Your Right to Your Data
Under GDPR Article 20 (Right to Data Portability), you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format. Ascend makes this easy with a built-in data export feature.
How to Export Your Data
Open Settings
Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the Ascend app, or navigate to your profile and select Settings.
Navigate to Privacy
In the Settings menu, find and tap the Privacy section.
Tap "Export My Data"
Select the Export My Data option. Ascend will prepare a download of all your personal data in CSV format.
Download Your Files
Your data will be packaged as CSV files and made available for download. The export typically completes within a few minutes.
What Data Is Included
Profile
Name, email, date of birth, height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences
Workouts
Exercise logs, sets, reps, weights, duration, workout history
Nutrition
Meal logs, calorie intake, macronutrient breakdown, hydration data
Health Metrics
Steps, heart rate, sleep data, body measurements, active minutes
Community
Posts, achievements, squad memberships, leaderboard data
Settings
Preferences, notification settings, connected integrations
Export Format
All data is exported as CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files. CSV is a widely-supported format that can be opened in spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers, as well as imported into other fitness platforms.
